New Yourself with proper Nutrition - Exerccise - and
Water.
As a Nutrition coach, with a minimal training in exercise physiology, I
am very passionate about meeting new friends who come to me for help about their health. It gives me the satisfaction
to give the gift of a better life to whoever desires to apply the simple principles that almost guarantee better health. This
website is an ONLINE tool that practically details the whole program, how it works and why it works. A trained medical doctor
(licensed in Haiti) and a healthcare educator in the US, I feel the need to share with you what really made a BIG difference
in my own life.
About two years ago, a good friend of mine, a retired photographer, took
a picture of me and I was surprised to look so old. I could not blame him and I almost threw the picture away, because, although
I was overweight and suffered the following ailments: footache, backache, neckache, chronic fatigue, sudden bout
of dizziness, in my mind I thought I was pretty healthy and felt like I was still in my "thirties". The picture
revealed another "picture" of myself and I felt old and started behaving like an old person.
The incentive to reconquer my health came when, some time after the picture revelation, I was diagnosed
with borderline hypertension and diabetes during my recommended annual physical for my work. I always used to exercise a little
bit and tried to avoid fast food restaurants as much as possible, but my "old picture" in the back of my mind and
in front of me the lab results from the annual physical, I decided to take my health more seriously. A few months of researching,
I discovered the principles that many other health and fitness programs were already providing. I slimmed down the program
and created NEW, a simplifed version and it works well for me and other people who adhere to it.
We certainly
hope that the information in the website will be enough to help you too NEW yourself, however if you feel you need extra

Math Error or What? I love ethnic foods. I have a special place in my belly for
casava with peanut butter. Recently, while eating a fairly large piece with of course peanut butter, I checked the label
to confirm its nutritional value. I was surprised to read that one serving, a fairly large piece, contains only 25 calories.
When I checked the different macronutrients detailed in the label, it was obvious that this number was really off. The label
reported 26 grams of carbohydrates. One gram of carbohydrate contains 4 Calories. Although my taste buds were busy savoring
the food, what was left of my brain was able to multiply 26 X 4. The casava bread also contains 1 g of protein (as indicated
by the label). Each gram of protein comes with 4 Calories. The total should have been 108, not 25. Three
bites later, I checked the fat content. Zero. Expected. They did not mess up on the fat content. Oh wait a minute. The label
reads, Fat 0 but calories from fat 2. They got the carbohydrate wrong, the fat a bit wrong too. What a bout the proteins.
Protein 1 g. Expected. Wait. After noting the 1 g of protein per piece (50g) the label adds that it represents 1% of the daily
recommendation. Most people would have left the percentage blank for such a low number or correctly called it 0.5%. The makers
of casava may have rounded it up.
Useless to say that after realizing so many errors in the labeling of one
of my favorite ethnic food, I spat out whatever was left in my mouth for fear of the unknown ... Are you kidding? In fact, I
reached for another piece and had to do some very deep reasonning with myself to call it quit after just a tiny bit of
the second slice.

Teach Your Kids How To Swim / That Can Save Their Lives
When kids see other kids jump into the pool and swim
away under the adoring eyes of the spectators, wheter they know how to sim or not they feel like doing so too. They think
it is easy. They feel like they too can do it. It is human nature. If a stunt done on TV by professionals has to have
the warning "DON'T TRY THAT AT HOME", seing the dum kid in his class who has difficulty dividing fractions
jump into the water and swim with ease is enough convincing evidence that he, the super smart, straight A student can do it
too.
We cannot change people's nature but we can prevent them from harming themselves. I have found that teaching
kids how to swim is easy. All you need to do is to give them the best teacher: A pair of goggles. Swimming goggles allow you
to see under water, you can look at the feet of other swimmers, you can see how they move ... and before you know it, you
too are swimming. I taught my older son how to swim, how to ride a bike when I did not even knwo myself how to do those things.
I tried to teach him Karate too. I was not inclined to learn it and ... of course I did not and still do not know Karate,
but one day he got a free lesson and told me "Daddy, I thought you knew Karate" .... That tells me that
I did not do a good job.
Back to swimming. Please buy your kids and yourself a pair of goggles. Toys R US, CVS
carry and other stores carry them. If money is a concern, your neighborhood Thrift Store usually has a lot of good ones
for less than $2.00 a piece. There i s no excuse. Get in the water safely and never say it will not happen to my kids.

This jar contains one of the most expensive food in the whole world. Nothing comes close to it, not even Saffron,
a spice that costs between $500 to $5,000/pound. The most expensive caviar, Beluga caviar ($5,000/kg) is way
cheaper. The von Essen Platinum Club Sandwich (200 dollars) is cheap food compared to it. You see, the above
mentioned foods cost an astronomically (Gastronomically) large amount of money, but at least they give you something
for your money but the one in the picture costs 3 to 4 dollars and contains absolutely nothing. Zero gram of protein,
0 gram of carbohydrate, 0 calorie, 0 gram of sodium, 0 every thing, it's like buying an empty jar. This is, in my
opinion, the most expensive food since mathematically, the money you pay per grams of substance bought is infinitely
large ($3 / 0 gram of substance = infinite number fo dollars per gram. This food is also, by name, a farm
product. I am curious to meet one of those "FARMERS" on the job at these farms. I have the impression that
they are more likely to be farmers with PhD in chemistry. Comments? email me at getfit@healthyourself.org
